The Burra district invites sealed tenders for grazing rights at Parrell Flat Cemetery Block Hanson Cemetery Block and Blag Pad dock Burra for a 12 month term ending 30 June 1940. Tenders must be endorsed and addressed to the Chairman Box 10 Burra and received by 12 o clock noon on Saturday 3 July 1948.
Notice of polling places for the annual Robertstown District Council elections to be held July on a single day. English Ward nominees Keller and Hammond Parley vote at the Old Council Chamber Point Pass. Bunde Ward nominees Farley KriegER vote at A W Hausler’s residence. Voting hours 8 am to 6 pm. Corporation of Burra invites tenders for leasing reserves for the year ending June 30 1948 No 1 Kanwaus Depot Paddock No 2 Kingston Street Bridge opposite Church of England Each tender to include amount and be submitted to Town Clerk by Monday 5 July 1948 marked Tender for Reserve.
Owners of dogs in the District Council area are reminded under the Dog Act that all dogs over three months must be registered. Registration is from July 1 to July 4 each year at the District Office, Robertstown, District Clerk and Registrar of Dogs.
Public notice states that Mr M W Bednall will run Friday only hours for general legal business and rent payments at his Burra office until further notice. Miss O Crewes will accept messages at the Burra Hospital Office during the interim.

He states that Hurtle M Scott Public Accountant and Licensed Land Agent will conduct all affairs in connection with these matters. Watch for further announcements.
The speaker thanks the ratepayers of West Ward who voted on Saturday and congratulates Mr Field and his supporters on their win. He urges those who did not vote to forgive and support the Mayor and Councillors, and to take keener interest in the town and remember to vote next time.
