Hanson Methodist Jubilee Celebrated at Hanson Hall

The Hanson Methodist jubilee marked the 1928 hall dedication for Jesse Humphrys Memorial, with Rev. Ingamells and many locals in attendance. A varied programme featured organist Mrs White, vocal solos, poems by W Neill, and a concert by the Red Ruth Choir, raising over £30 for church funds.

Hallett Institute Monday evening show amid garden setting

Hallett Institute hosted a Red Cross entertainment on Monday evening with a garden like stage display. The 4% success was aided by Mrs Lies and others who arranged massed scenery shrubs and flowers. decorations by School Welfare MAWLA and Methodist Ladies Guild plus RSL Royalty and Basketball Club. A large colored portrait of Queen Elizabeth was featured alongside a grand Crown and Beep tree centerpiece.

Coronation Ball Celebrates Her Majesty with Music and Pageantry

On Tuesday June 16 1958 a Coronation Ball with a male committee featured a grand polonaise and a living picture queen with six attendants. Mr Glen Williams sang Elizabeth of England while Daphne Wenham led a band. A souvenir competition was won by a visiting gentleman. The event aimed to celebrate the Coronation, not as a fundraiser, and attracted a large crowd with generous refreshments.
