Coronation Celebrations at War Memorial Oval Burra Port

A lengthy procession marked Coronation celebrations in Burra with the 27th Scottist South Australian Regiment leading in kilts and bayonets. Local groups and Burra schools followed, ending at the Memorial Oval for a short service led by Rev C Christopher and other church leaders.

Saw Accident Injures Worker At Bench

On Thursday May 28 Mr R J White slipped near a large circular saw. His right leg was pulled under the bench by the blade while he walked around the machine, causing a serious injury.

Trust Electricity For Booborowie and Farrell Flat

The Electricity Trust of South Australia invited the District Council of Burra Burra to supply electricity directly to residents of Booborowie and Farrell Flat after the council approved quotations. The council resolved to allow the Trust to supply electricity to those towns and nearby areas within three miles.

Hallett Church 75th Anniversary Raised £200
