PEC To Fight Increase
Johnson City PEC directors met on September 19 to oppose an LCRA rate increase. They accepted 950 new members, approved temporary general funds for a Buda substation, and paid last month’s bills totaling 244033.71 for purchase orders 1747136.08 for the LCRA power bill and 334236.50 for operations. The LCRA hike would raise PEC bills by 1.41 percent, the largest for its customers. Will Martin noted the impact grows with usage.
