Timothy Leon Croy, 16, of Granite Shoals, born March 8 1960, has muscular dystrophy and relies on a wheelchair since 1974. He attends Kingsland Christian Academy and attends Kingsland Calvary Hill Full Gospel Church. The Muscular Dystrophy dance marathon in Burnet on March 26 27 at the Burnet County Fair Barn raises funds, with All Burnet County Teens Against Dystrophy TADS eagerly meeting Timmy.

In 1975 Caucasian males aged 21 to 30 had higher drowning risk while swimming near home. Among 1, (total fatalities) 546 were male and 388 were Caucasian. Accidents while swimming caused 218 deaths, 135 were in the 21 to 30 bracket, and 435 occurred within 25 miles of home. Drowning fatalities in 1974 totaled 725.
