The Burnet High School auditorium hosted graduation exercises with the processional and invocation by Jane Hays and Camilla Butler. Salutatorian David Tucker and Valedictorian Arthur Felan delivered brief addresses followed by scholarship awards from numerous clubs and donors.
Fifteen contestants vie for Miss Burnet at Burnet High School Auditorium at 7 30 p m with music and comedy. Master of ceremonies Dean Scott, a Las Vegas performer, will host alongside local act Billy Goats Leroy and Bertram Puppeteers. Winners earn 100 dollars with runners up at 25 each and advance to Miss Highland Lakes Universe in Llano on June 17. Admission 2 dollars adults 1 child.
