Former Burnet Principal Temple Dies at 44
Jack H. Temple of Indianapolis Indiana died Saturday January 25 1975 after a final heart attack ending a career with a pharmaceutical firm. Funeral services were held in Indianapolis with interment in Arlington Texas. Survived by wife Mary two adopted sons Byron and Royal his mother a brother and sisters Temple a 1953 Texas Christian University graduate and former Burnet schools principal in the early 1960s.

The Lower Colorado River Authority notified Pedernales Electric Cooperative that Lo-Vaca Gathering Company cut gas deliveries by 50 percent. Faced with shortages the coop switched to fuel oil and burned about 300,000 gallons on Monday until gas resumed at 103 million cubic feet per day.

City Paving Heated by Moral Obligation and Ordinance 373
Burnet City Council met in a special session January 28 1975 for over two hours to discuss subdivision paving costs and alleged past commitments. City Manager Tippitt cited a $17552 estimate for paving Green Grove Oaks West and Highland Acres using two courses. hot mix would raise costs.
