Burleson Tragedy: Ed Campbell Shot by Wife

The body of Ed Campbell, a Black man, was sent to Dallas for burial. He was shot Friday night by his wife at the Parker Estate plantation near Parker's Upper Store after an argument, using a shotgun. Beulah Reed, a Black woman, was arrested in Mudville, brought to Bryan, paid a fine, and released. The shooting allegedly struck Campbell in the shoulders as he fled.
