Agricultural education expands at Texas state colleges

Dean Kyle notes state teachers colleges offer agricultural courses training teachers for public and Smith Hughes schools. Huntsville State Teachers College provides a full ag course. Texas Tech will open with a four year agricultural program. A and M offers four distinct ag degrees including engineering, administration, and education. Homecoming at Old Independence Church Draws Hundreds

A Brenham Banner report details a Sunday homecoming at the historic Independence Baptist church. Alvord Elected Director of Texas Extension Service

C H Alvord of San Antonio was elected Director of the Extension Service Department of the A and M College of Texas, succeeding T O Walton who becomes president of the college. The appointment, confirmed from Houston, is praised by Dr B Youngblood as a wise choice and a boon for Texas farming.

Lichte family returns from long eastern tour by auto

F. E. Mrs Willard Chambers and family return from Galveston trip

Mrs Willard Chambers and her baby Caroline with sister Frances Morrison Cameron have come back from a vacation spent in Galveston and visited relatives in Cameron and Bryan. They plan to return to Cameron tomorrow.

Reliance, Sept. 10. The Reliance Woman's Club met with Mrs. A. M. Hartsfield and will hold a called meeting September 17 at the school house.
