Fifty-One Attend Junior Missionary Meet at First Methodist

More than a half hundred members of the Junior Missionary Society of the First Methodist church gathered for a regular meeting led by president Jnc W Black Jr. Devotions, Bible verses, songs and prayers followed. Mrs. Oak McKenzie wrapped up the China mission study with a story form lesson, while D P Gaby operated the picture machine showing slides on education and rural skills from Cook County Illinois. The group planned songs and business for the next meeting.

The Philathea Class of the First Methodist Sunday school presents its annual treasurer's report. Officers listed include Mrs. O. O. Woman's Missionary Society Meets at First Methodist Church

Group No. 2 of the Woman's Missionary Society met Monday afternoon with Mrs. W. B. Cline. The president Mrs. H. N. Cochran attended, readings from the 100th Psalm were given, and five members reported eight visits to the sick and 19 chapters read. Mrs. T. A. Adams joined the program committee for the Week of Prayer in November. The lesson Over the Border was led by Mrs. W. B. Cline. Members present included Mesdames Adams, Alsebrook, Deaton, Cochran, Cole, and Cline.

Supt Madison Hall and Teachers Join State Association

Bryan schools superintendent Madison Hall and 18 faculty members have joined the Texas State Teachers Association. Brazos County Boys Return From Dallas Fair Trip

County Agent C. L. Benson reports six Brazos County club boys Louis Kurten Herman Henderson Bryan Hearne Charlie Gerke Cliff Lopez and Freddie Conrad returning from the Dallas Fair. The education encampment drew 400 to 500 in attendance statewide. Exhibits were agricultural due to the foot and mouth disease quarantine near Houston. Harrison County won first in county agricultural exhibits. Benson notes Brazos might have contended for first with better exhibits.

New Photographic Printing Process Replaces Metal Type

A London based machine by J. R. C. August and E. K. Hunter uses a photographic film to replace metal type. The system, described at the United Typothetic of America convention, projects characters from a master film onto a sensitized base.
