Junior at A and M Found Dead in Manhole
George D. Craig a 26 year old junior student at A and M College and member of Company E Cadet Infantry died in a manhole near the septic tank at the animal husbandry buildings. He slipped while exiting the eight foot deep hole after opening valves to drain sludge and probably drowned. His Brookston, Texas home and his brother C L Craig Panhandle teacher and former pitcher on the A and M baseball team are named in the report.

Cars Collide at Episcopal Church Corner
A delivery car driven by Roman and Vick and the Studebaker owned by Mr and Mrs A P Swallow collided last Saturday at the Episcopal church corner. The Swallow car suffered considerable damage while a small scratch to Margaret Ann Fairman in Bettie Swallow’s car was the only injury. The Swallow vehicle had its rear end struck by a light truck, with the back fender badly smashed, bumper knocked off, and rear curtain glass broken.

Work On Jones Bridge To Start Soon
