Presbyterian Men Of the Church In Meeting Tuesday

About twenty members of the Presbyterian Men of the Church met in the Sunday School annex. The program included a review of the book Out of the Wilderness and a talk on Home Missions at A and M College. Mrs. Roy Danforth accompanied musical numbers by Mildred Salley and Richard Grant. The next meeting is November 10 with a program on stewardship and church aims.

Lyons to Confer Master Mason's Degree on His Son

Former Bryan woman writes from Missouri to Eagle

Mrs. Jno B Mike of 4421 Euclid Avenue Kansas City Missouri writes the Eagle enclosing her check for one year and says she still claims Bryan as her home though she left fifteen years ago. She and her husband formerly ran a general merchandise store in Bryan and still have many friends in Bryan and Brazos county.

Brazos County Baptist Convention Meets at Edge Tomorrow

The Brazos County Baptist Association will convene tomorrow at Edge Baptist church and continue through Friday. Rev. J. J. Pipkin presides. Dr. Jnc A Held of Mexia will preach the annual sermon. Well Baby Clinic Slated At Court House Thursday Afternoon

The regular weekly well baby clinic will be held from 2 to 4 PM in the office of County Public Health Nurse Miss Elizabeth Curtis. Infants and preschool children will be examined at no charge and mothers are urged to note the clinic time.

Marvin Goodwin, 33, pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds and former manager of the Houston Buffaloes, died from injuries sustained in an airplane wreck on Sunday. The crash occurred near Incluston on October 21.

Brothers Found Dead on Doylestown Farm

Thomas and Joseph Ervin were found shot and stabbed on their farm near Doylestown Pennsylvania. Joseph, about 52, and Thomas, 50, lived alone. Nathan Ervin said the brothers had no known enemies and could not confirm if a sum of money was kept at the house.

A and M Engineering Department Purchases Cottonseed Oil Refinery

The A and M College of Texas chemistry program bought a small complete refinery for refining bleaching and deodorizing cottonseed oil to support a new four year course. Senior students will process raw oil into clear shortening and salad oil, with soap making also taught using by product stocks. The York Company donated a two ton ammonia compressor and refrigeration unit to aid production.
