Goen Couple Return from Tyler East Texas Fair

Texas Reader From 1863 Owned By Bryan County Agent

A relic owned by County Agent C. L. Beason is a 1863 Texas primary reader printed by E. H. Cushing in Houston. Judge Tom Beason of Panola County presented it when Benson was County Superintendent. The aged book, now over 60 years old, is meant to teach parents and teachers how letters are used, with favorites like Castablanca listed in the back.
