Local and Other Visitors Fill Bryan City Day

A stream of visitors from Iola, Kurten, Reliance, Harvey, Madison, and Cross crowded Bryan. Shoppers and business guests included J. W. Coulter, W. M. Hudspeth, Joe Goldenberg, and J. M. Conlee among others with many connections to A. and M. College and local enterprises. Reverend Crenshaw underwent appendicitis surgery and is recovering.

Four Brazos County Corn Club Boys to State Fair

County Agent C. L. Reagan announced that four Brazos County Boys' Corn Club members will attend the Texas State Fair in Dallas, funded by the Commercial Association, replacing the previous plan for two. The first two selected are Ted Cook and Jesse Cloud, with Sherman Walker and Webster Cloud chosen as the remaining two.

Mrs Cora Wade Dies After Long Illness Oct 1916

Mrs Cora Wade, wife of T E Wade, died at 10 p m October 4 1916 after a prolonged illness. The obituary notes five sons Lewey Camillus Jimmie Percy and Jesse Wade all at home with their father and one grandson J l. Preparations are underway in Saltillo for General Venustiano Carranza head of the Mexican de facto government to visit his former home this month.
