Watson Denied Change of Venue in Patter-son Murder Case

In Waco Texas on October 17 Judge Ricard I Monroe overruled a defense motion to move the murder case of T R Watson banker from Teague. The McLennan County grand jury charged him with murder of John S Patterson commissioner of banking and insurance. Trial set for Thursday at 9 am with jury selection to begin unless a continuance is granted.

An unnamed city boy was seriously hurt Sunday night at 25th and Main when a Ford from Tabor drove on the wrong side of the street and struck him as he turned a corner near Eugene Edge's store.
