Death of Mrs Mary Elizabeth Lucas Flippen

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lucas Flippen, 77, widow of W. H. Flippen Sr., died Friday in St. Louis at her daughter Mrs. Joseph Rankin’s home. The body goes to Dallas for burial with funeral services at St Matthew's Cathedral at 3 PM. Born July 6, 1847 in Warrenton Virginia, she lived in Bryan, Texas before moving to Dallas in 1879 during railroad expansion.

Cramer Guilty in Liquor Case Receives One Year

In district court Jean Cramer, identified as a negro, was found guilty of unlawful possession of intoxicating liquor after a night-long jury deliberation. He received a one year sentence in the penitentiary as proceedings continue with Jim Smith charged with unlawful sale. Funeral for Wilford L. Harlow Held in Bryan

Wilford L. Harlow died Monday night May 25 at 7 30 after a long illness. Born in Virginia at 41 he came to Bryan with his family from Oklahoma and worked on City National Bank construction. Survived by six sisters and a brother in Virginia and one sister in Tacoma Washington plus widow Virginia and six children. Funeral conducted today at 3 pm from the family home with Rev H H McCain officiating and burial at City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carpenters Union members.
