Bryan Lions Sponsor Summer Camp For Cherokee Troop

The Bryan Boy Scouts Cherokee troop led by M. L. Rees plans a June summer camp near Bryan with Lions Club sponsorship. The troop grew from nine to 28 members in thirteen months, with four patrols Eagle Raven Panther Pathfinder and four new scouts expected. Helpers include Omar Smith Hershel Reese and Ben Cullen from A and M College. The troop has organized events like a Legion Fair booth a Father and Son banquet and Go to Church Week and built a camping trailer.

Festival Concert Program Complete For Next Friday

The Woman's Choral Club of Bryan presents a May 18 concert at Guion Hall with 75 voices from Bryan Bay City and Houston. The program includes Rubenstein Wieniawski Gi rard selections duets by Laura and Virginia Palmer Rossini Bronte Nevin Moody Gaul and entries from Rigoletto Lucia di Lammermoor and an intermission. This marks the first in a series leading to an annual festive finale with associated clubs.

City to Enforce State Law On Low Flying

The Bryan city commission Friday night voted to enforce a state law prohibiting flying below 1,000 feet over cities. The measure aims to curb plane stunting and unexpected flights over Bryan as part of new enforcement plans.

Sanitation Plan Outlined for Brazos County Week
