Bryan and Brazos County Chamber of Commerce directors urged private firms to use the X All highway map from Houston to Dallas. They note traffic would shift from Highway 6 to Highway 75 until the route is improved, harming local merchants along the X All path. Mothers of St. Joseph's school pupils were honored with a high Mass at 8 15 AM on Tuesday. Many mothers and pupils received holy communion while prayers were offered by both groups. Rt Rev J B Gleissner presided and the school choir led the mass. A breakfast followed in the school auditorium for about 50 attendees as children performed songs recitations and music.

Cup Won By Bryan At Etex Meeting Displayed
The silver loving cup awarded to Bryan by the Houston Chamber of Commerce for largest attendance at the East Texas Chamber of Commerce convention 1986 will be displayed in the A. M. Waldrop Company windows after Tuesday. The 15 inch ebony based trophy bears a suitable inscription and will later reside at the Bryan organization offices. Mrs. Lee J. Rountree led the Allen Military Academy band to boost Bryan’s delegation that won the cup.

Road upgrades planned in Precinct 1 by Commissioner Todd

Mooney Involved in County Car Collision Near Cash
Four city and county law officers were shaken up when A D Mooney, allegedly intoxicated, crashed into the county sheriff’s car near Cash grocery around 9 pm Sunday. Large Brazos County still seized in multi agency raid
Four men were arrested and a 100 gallon still seized in Brazos County after a raid by state and federal officers. The operation uncovered a fully equipped setup in the Sadowski property near Bryan. Among those detained were Sam Degelia, Tony Leago, and Walter and Frank Sadowski, with multiple in custody earlier. A number of African American men, including a figure named Preacher Lockbridge, were detained for hours.
