Identification of a Bryan police man was possible Tuesday along Main street if visibility was good as they appeared for the first time in new blue uniforms with trousers blouses and Sam Brown belts. Negroes Found Guilty In Misde meanor Cases
Judge W C Davis presided in district court Friday in three misdemeanor cases. Ed Chew was found not guilty of threatening to take a life. Thomas Miller received a $5 fine and costs plus one day in jail for theft. J D Petty was fined $5 with costs and five days in jail for theft. All defendants named were Black.

Auto accident injures two riders near Kurten

Redd Green was found guilty of hog theft and given a four year suspended sentence by Judge W C Davis. Co defendant Dan Carr had his indictment quashed. T C Donley was found not guilty. The February term closed with about fifty cases pending and civil docket improved by clearing old suits. Judge Davis will start a five week term in Robertson county in April followed by the May term.

Negro Is Jailed On Murder Charge After Fatal Shooting
Will Sanders, a negro, was jailed Saturday in A. J. Buchanan's court on a murder charge in the killing of Joe Acosta a 60 year old Mexican man. Sanders crossed the Brazos into Burleson county and was returned to Bryan by Sheriff R. W. Nunn and Deputy Henry Koontz. He said in a statement he argued with Acosta who threatened to draw a knife and Sanders armed himself with a re.
