Legislators urge visit to college as session ends
Representative Lee J. Rountree returns from Austin after the 37th Legislature adjourns. He notes about 1,000 bills were filed but most died in 60 days, urging Governor Neff to call two special sessions to permit deliberate lawmaking and emergency focus. The next session is slated for June with an appropriations review for 1922-23 and A and M College funds cut by about 800,000. Rountree asks the committee to visit in May.

Verdict of Guilty in White Murder Trial at Brazos County

Headless Woman Body Found Near Rogers Texas
Two fishermen found the headless nude body of a presumed 25 year old woman in a tow sack at the Little River near Knob Creek north of Rogers. Inquest started. authorities fear other body parts are elsewhere and plans to drag the river for them.

Jake Michael Ruchti died at 8 15 this morning at his mother's home on his fifteenth birthday. He leaves his mother one sister and five brothers. He was injured in a bicycle fall on Feb 22 and complications followed. A funeral will be held at St Josephs Catholic Church at ten tomorrow morning with burial in City cemetery.
