The A and M Masonic club approves the plan for a $150,000 Masonic club house at College Station. High freight rates blamed for rising prices at shippers conference

Speakers at the national shippers conference blamed railway rates for high food costs. Bryan Fire Insurance Key Rate Reduced

City Manager E. McAdams announced the state fire commission reduced Bryan’s fire insurance key rate from 45 to 42 cents per 100 dollars of valuation. The 3 percent cut took effect Tuesday March 15, achieved through fire prevention education in the public schools.
