Social Season Highlights From Bryan Galveston

Numerous society events are recapped with Kathryn Daly visiting Galveston. A masquerade dance hosted by Dolores Knapp drew 31 couples at 1211 Winnie Street with music and floral decorations. Evangelist Isaiah Watson Announces Southwest Evangelistic Company

In a Ratliff Texas report dated March 9, Isaiah Watson recalls a Dec 24 departure for multiple meetings in Converse Patricia Noble Union Springs and Belmont Louisiana with a July camp planned at Noble. He organized the Louisiana Evangelistic Company at 1254 Murphy Street Shreveport and aims to form The Southwestern Evangelistic Company with nine evangelists and singers.

Two Culberson Bills Provide $100000 for Plainview District

Washington March 10 Senator Culberson introduced two bills providing $100000 for Plainview. One bill appropriates $50000 to establish an agricultural plant shrub fruit and vegetable experimental station. The other authorizes $50000 to purchase a site and erect a federal building at Plainview.

Woman Dies From Burns Near Wheelock

The wife of Will Amos, a colored woman living on the Dunn farm near Wheelock, died yesterday morning from burns suffered three weeks earlier while cooking soap in the yard. Her dress caught fire and she was severely burned before help could reach her.
