City election poll taxes show about 1700 eligible voters
About 1700 voters are figured eligible in the city election with 1437 residents paying poll taxes in Precincts 10 11 and 14 all located in Bry an though many who vote in Precincts 41 and 14 live outside city limits The county total poll taxes paid were 2364 nearly 600 less than in 1932 the general election year.

New Supervisor For Crop Loans To Serve Brazos
Eric C. Brazos County stockmen oppose a Texas Legislature bill by Rep. Nall Colson to withdraw state support from cattle tick eradication in Montgomery and surrounding counties. If enacted, work in Montgomery Grimes Brazos Madison Harris and Waller counties would be affected. Brazos county is 9? percent free from ticks and by March 1 only 385 of 3,000 herds remain to dip. The last of these could be released by June 1, if not sooner.

Crop Production Loan Program Is Launched in Brazos County

Brown of Hearne presided at a Tuesday morning meeting with the county advisory committee and local leaders at the Bryan and Brazos County Chamber of Commerce about the new crop production loan program. The rules require a 30 percent acreage reduction for cash crops beyond specified crop limits, with $90 million in Reconstruction Finance Corporation funds available and notes due by October 31. Loans for 1933 are capped and farmers in arrears on two prior loans are restricted.
