Mrs Eva Wallin Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Eva Wallin aged 51 died Friday night at 10 at the family farm home fifteen miles west of Bryan in Burleson county after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 from Carr cemetery in Burleson county with McCulloch Dansby Funeral Directors in charge. Rev E C Carrington of Bryan conducted the service and interment was in the family burial lot. Survived by two sons Buster and Elmer Wallin of Burleson county and daughter Mrs George Refree of Bryan. five brothers and three sisters including John Jess Henry Percy Tom Wellington of Bryan and Mrs Jane Wallin of West plus Mrs Servilla Mitchell of Eugleson county and Mrs Millie D of Oklahoma City.

Flea hoppers and leafworms damage Texas cotton crops report
I L Thomas of Texas Experiment Station reports flea hoppers infestation on 69 farms in 25 counties from Jim Wells to Grayson with up to 33 percent damage. Airplane dusting for flea hoppers and boll weevils is underway in Brazos river bottoms near Bryan as cotton leafworm moths resume flight and boll weevils appear in Kaufman and Smith counties. A one third grown leafworm larva was found in Brazos bottoms marking the first generation reaching the area this season.
