Miss Katy Dalan, secretary of Hood's Texas Brigade, said the forty-eighth annual reunion will be held in Bryan on June 29 and 30. The Bryan reunion committee and Bryan Chamber of Commerce arranged the date since the regular date falls on Sunday.

Boxing bill defeated as House strikes enacting clause
Austin June 5 The House defeated the boxing bill backed by the American Legion and adopted a concurrent resolution requiring all state department heads to report quarterly on traveling expenses. The resolution proceeds to the Senate.

Hopkins County Agent Evans Remains In Hopkins County
After a state extension recommendation, Hopkins county appoints W. W. Evans to remain county agent with a $1000 salary increase. He has been released from Brazos county duties and will stay in Sulphur Springs. The Daily Eagle has no word on a successor.

Two Ladies Hurt In City Auto Smash Near Commencement
Mrs. W. H. Buchanan and Mrs. Olivia Suber of Kurten were seriously injured when their car overturned after the radius rod failed near a city edge postcommencement travel. Suber broke a collar bone and shoulder arm, Buchanan suffered facial cuts and bruises. Dr. Sims rushed them to Bryan hospital where both receive care. Suber remains resting, as comfort allows.

Brazos County Crop Outlook Is Good
The Eagle reports farmers in Brazos County are hopeful about present crops. Corn is three weeks late and will need two more good seasons for a heavy yield. Cotton looks good. boll weevils could hurt it, but the fall is expected to redeem the county. Sweet potatoes are well planted and productive. Farm women begin canning bears peas and berries to guard against high winter prices.

Judge J. F. Robinson Dies in St Louis at 69
Judge J F Robinson of Houston died in St Louis on Monday May 31 after an operation. He was 69, lived in Houston 18 years, and was a partner in Robinson and Smith Realty. He co owned the Koppe Robinson plantation near Bryan and had farming ties that brought him to Bryan. He leaves a son L E Robinson of Houston and two daughters in Illinois. The body went to Illinois for interment. His estate was estimated at about half a million dollars.
