Brazos County Opens Bryan to McCree Crossing Route

Brazos County Court approved opening the Bryan to McCree crossing road via Reliance Steep Hollow and nearby communities to the Navasota river. The $1,300 bridge at McCree crossing will be built with half funded by local citizens and Grimes county, with work starting immediately. Minnesota mob lynches three negroes at circus grounds

A mob of about five thousand in Duluth, Minnesota, overpowered police and lynched three Black men named Jim Smith, John Jones, and Bob White who had been held in connection with an assault on Mary Jones, a white girl at the circus grounds. The men, described as roustabouts from Mississippi Arkansas and Texas, had traveled north seeking work and faced great excitement for hours.

Repair College Bryan Road A Call For Prompt Action

The Eagle urged the contract ing company to repair the College Bryan road before drainage worsens and vehicle damage increases. The road near the Country Club entrance and toward the college is deteriorating rapidly and affects driving pleasure. Mrs Caruso Loses 450000 Dollars in Diamonds

New York reports jewels valued at 450000 dollars were stolen from the East Hampton summer home of Mr and Mrs Enrico Caruso.
