Philip Hensarling Jr A G Syptak and Eugene Beard former bank employees were sentenced Monday to federal prisons for embezzlement. Hensarling drew 15 months in Leavenworth while Beard and Syptak went to the federal workhouse in New Orleans for four months and 70 days respectively. An additional 18 months was suspended for five years pending full restitution to the bonding company.

Kidnaped Autoist Freed Near Here On Sunday Night
Walter E. Barron of Conroe was kidnapped Sunday near Spring by a burglary suspect. He was released near Benchley Sunday night after losing $56 and his car, which the captor drove. Police and constables recovered Barron and sent him by night train to Houston. The abductor, unknown to Barron, shot at pursuers, then forced Barron to drive before taking the vehicle further north.
