Fire destroys Bryan residence. contents damaged heavily

Mrs George Sreath, visiting at Beason, reported flames sweeping through a rock house soon after nine in the morning. The Bryan Volunteer Department fought the blaze with three firefighters absent. The home and its contents suffered severe damage from fire smoke and water, with only a few pieces salvageable. Insurance agents declined to disclose totals, but Mr Litt said the house was insured for 1500 and the contents for 1000 by two agencies.
