Members of the Bryan and Brazos County Chamber of Commerce who have not yet sent in their ballots for the directors election and have not advised Secretary W R McCullough of the number of banquet tickets are urged to act promptly. Directors will canvass votes before the annual meeting on Thursday night at Texas A and M College and seating arrangements depend on reservations. Paving Completion On Highway 21 East Of Kurten
Concrete pouring on Highway 21 between Kurten and the Nevasota river finished Saturday and traffic will resume in about two weeks. Gravel spreading on fills between Brazos and Madison counties began and, if weather holds, will open with the cured pavement creating an all weather link from Madisonville to Bryan.

Funeral Service for Aged Woman at St Anthony’s
Funeral services were held for Mrs Vera Chiappetta at the family residence and St Anthony's Catholic church in Bryan. Interment followed at Bryan City Cemetery. She died Wednesday after a long illness at 1 15 p.m. She was 72 years old, born in Italy on June 13, 1869, came to the U S in 1880 and to Bryan 52 years ago. Survived by daughter Mrs Tony Sausage and six sons including Charles, Joe, Sam, Peter, Frank, Tony. sister Mrs Rosalie Debenta and step brother Ben Salvata.
