The funeral of Roger Q. Astin who died at his home was held this morning at 10 30 from his residence. Rev W N Shell from Durant Okla conducted the service with prayers and scripture including the Twenty Third Psalm. Rev W H Mathews of the A and M College Presbyterian church led the closing prayers. The procession formed at 11 oclock and was among the largest in the city. Graveside rites at the city cemetery included hymns A City Four Square and Abide With Me.
