Death of D M Dansby Prominent Brazos County Pioneer
Durant Motier Dansby, 75, longtime Brazos County resident and respected businessman, died at 1 15 pm after a brief illness. He served in the Civil War, endured injuries at Iuka, later farmed in Steep Hollow, and was a devout Baptist and Confederate veteran. He leaves a widow Laura Todd, three children, and two stepsons.
