Walton Field near Bryan will be regularly inspected by Aeronautical Bureau officials after a March visit is expected. Local pilots will be allowed to take licenses locally when inspectors arrive. Applications for Soldier's Bonus Grow in Brazos County
Ex servicemen in Brazos county rush to the Red Cross office to apply for bonds in full payment of their World War I bonus certificates. By Saturday noon 410 applications were filed, about half the county total. Most have already borrowed half their certificates. Average certificates run about $1000, promising substantial funds for the county. A new batch of blanks arrived from the Veterans Administration in San Antonio. The American Legion and Red Cross staff at city hall will assist all holders seeking bonds during offices hours from 9 to 12 and 2 to 5 daily.

First Deer Shipment Reaches Leon County for Planting
The initial 11 of 100 deer destined for planting in Leon County have arrived with a second shipment due Sunday. Deputy state game warden Sam Cavitt said the 13 deer in the next consignment, parts of the 100 total, will follow in near future. About 75 wild turkeys have already been released along the Navasota River area.
