D. E. Wallace an Oklahoma oil man driving to Houston hit a wagon without lights between Millican and Navasota Sunday night. Four negroes rode home from a funeral. two were injured. Wallace was uninjured but his car was damaged. The group were taken to Bryan for examination and care. He said he had passed a car and swung right when the wagon appeared with no warning.

Former Wall Street figure Burton Castles dies in Miami
Burton S. Castles, formerly of Bryan and longtime New York City resident, died in Miami at 74 from pneumonia after a winter illness. Born in Waxahachie on February 20 1861, he built a cotton brokerage in Bryan before moving to New Orleans and then Wall Street. He never married and is survived by two nephews and two nieces. Funeral plans await arrangements in New York.

AM Registration Reaches New High At Texas A and M
College Station February 4 Texas A and M College totals exceeded 3600 for a full year enrollment for the first time as second semester classes began. The prior record stood at 3214. Through Monday 3599 had registered and early morning additions raised the count. New student enrollment will continue nine days more and the old student grace period ends Monday to avoid penalties.
