The colored people of Bryan unite with the Bryan and Brazos County Good Cheer Association to raise funds for their race and attend the Municipal Christmas tree event. On Christmas night at 7 o clock they will distribute fruit and candy to children and enjoy a program with Dr. Hammond as master of ceremonies and Dr. Thompson narrating a Christmas story. Church singers will perform carols as Clarence Johnson chairs the committee including James L. Johnson Prof. Kemp and Dr. Carter. They have raised a $20 start.

Man Charged With Stealing Clothes Caught In Bryan
Navasota officers identified John Powers in Bryan during official business. Powers was arrested for a minor offense and is believed to be the same man wanted in Navasota for stealing clothes from the Clark Hotel a month earlier. Alfred Smith of the Humble Pipe Line Co. reported his lost suit of clothes and hat. Powers is said to have worn them at Bryan’s arrest.
