First Federal Loan Closed in Bryan
A $4 500 loan from the Federal Land Bank at Houston was closed for J M Saladiner to cover outstanding notes on his farm. The amortization loan, at 5 percent, allows six percent annual payments of 45 dollars, with semiannual installments each April and October. Saladiner’s interest drops by half, saving 225 dollars yearly, and he can use yearling cattle or cotton to offset payments. About thirty applicants are awaiting loans as Bryan association plans frequent closings in coming months.

Death of Bryan Resident H Y Moehlman at 73
H Y Moehlman aged 73 and a German native died at his Bryan home after a long illness. He arrived in the U S 25 years ago, lived in Shiner and southern Texas before moving to Bryan six years ago. Survived by his widow and three children, funeral Wednesday at 10 am with Rev Charlton Storey officiating. Interment in city cemetery.
