Missionary couple shares China field tale at Baptist Auxiliary

The First Baptist Church Woman's Auxiliary met Monday afternoon in the church hall from 3 30 to 5 for a missionary program. Dr and Mrs L O Wilkerson spoke about their medical missions in China and the challenges they faced. Christmas Program At Tabor School Friday

On Friday night December 19 at 7 30 an auditorium program at the Tabor school house will be directed by Prof and Mrs W G Colson and others. Admission is 15 cents for students and 25 cents for adults with proceeds to benefit the school. Proceeds fund improvements and a new telephone for the teacherage assistance. Mary Strmiska Found Dead in River Near Taylor

The body of Mary Strmiska, 24, who disappeared from her Hoxie ranch home Saturday, was found Monday morning in the San Gabriel river by a searching party. She was born in Europe and recently in poor health. She leaves her father Frank Strmiska, her mother, five brothers and four sisters, all of Williamson county.

Judge Page Morris Dies Former Federal Judge and A&M Cadet Leader

Judge Page Morris died in Rochester Minnesota after an operation. He had 20 years on the Minnesota federal bench and was the first Commandant of cadets at the A and M College at its 1876 opening. He later served as a Minnesota federal judge and a member of Congress.
