Dee Wheelock reports Bob Yardley of Ben Arnold, a Robinson county pioneer, traveled through his youth area while en route to Franklin for the burial of his aunt Mrs. W F Yardley on Thursday the 10th. Visitors included Mrs John Brock and nephew from Hearne, Elon Stuart of Bryan representing Lawrence Grocery Co, and Ed Balhovn of Hearne for Robert McClean Co. Mrs Sarah Yardley is listed among survivors.

S M U Football Star Placed On Peace Bond

George Watters SMU football star and captain was placed under a 500 dollar peace bond in Dallas after a discipline committee complaint alleging he threatened to assault W K Cregger the dormitory custodian. Cregger and J R Spann testified the threat occurred in front of amused students. Watters, praised as an all Southwestern tackle by writers, faces the charge.

Hunting Party Returns From Magic Valley Trip

W. P. Moore and Geo J. and Fu Nedbalek returned early today from a hunting trip in the Magic Valley. They planned deer and waterfowl but rain made the field too muddy, so they hunted near Matamoros and bagged many birds across the river.

Mrs. McLendon Visits Bryan From New York City

Mrs. C. C. McLendon of New York City is a guest in the home of Mrs. F. I. Garth in Bryan. A niece of Mrs. Garth and Miss Willie Rogers, she is known to Bryan friends as Ella Lou True, former resident with her mother Mrs. Amanda True. Her first visit in many years is met with cordial greetings. McLendon is secretary of the Texas Club in New York City and keeps in touch with Texans there while promoting work for her native state.
