Frank Holt Elected Grand High Priest by Texas Royal Arch Masons

Frank Holt city comptroller of Waco was elected grand high priest of the Royal Arch Chapter of Texas at its morning session. Officers named include John M. Wealthy banker found dead amid poverty scene in Pittsburgh

Jesse L. Lemon, a former southern banker with a $500000 fortune, died in a slumlike room with no physician present. He had left Acworth after a 11 year-old quarrel with his wife and later worked as a sewing machine company collector in Pittsburgh. His son Millard Lemon was killed in France. a brother William Lemon may survive. The body was sent to Acworth for burial.

Man Guilty of Murder in Fields Shooting at Giddings

After a three hour trial in Georgetown Alvin Townsley was found guilty of murdering State Representative Charles Fields of Giddings on October 17. The jury assessed life imprisonment in the state penitentiary. Townsley's lawyers will seek a new trial or appeal.
