Co operative Church Society To Be Formed By Local Churches

A union prayer service at the Tabernacle gathered about 75 women from Bryan Protestant churches to create a permanent cooperative church society. A committee with one member from each church will plan the organization and meet at Mrs J Webb Howell's home. Mob Hangs Two Men Over Leak Shooting in Bryan

From the Bryan jail two black men were taken by a mob and hanged after confessing involvement in the E. A. Leak shooting. Reports say four more were hanged in the Brazos bottoms related to the case.

Haswell Reports Havana to Kingston Trip on Lafayette

Mayor Haswell and party toured Havana Porto Plata San Juan Marquay Port au Prince Kingston and other sites aboard the U S S Lafayette. He described seasickness, Americanized Havana, Cuban sugar and rum plants, Dominican and Haitian scenes, and a Jamaican stop before returning to Houston. Millican census chief touts record rural district

J D Battle of Millican told Bryan crowds of the Millican school census, near 500 names, making the district Brazos county’s largest. He spent three weeks taking the census amid mud and high water, and noted eight names short of five hundred.
