Slaying and self-inflicted wounds shock Gage area

At Gage Oklahoma seventeen miles north of town O B Heyworth shot and killed his wife and two daughters then fatally wounded himself. The killings occur amid reported family troubles as authorities investigate the incident.

Moblе Negro Hanged Amid Lynching After Assault Attempt

Robert Clarke alias Dan Dove, a Black man from City, was lynched by 300 masked men near Lucerate depot on the Mobile Jackson and Kansas City line. He had seized a horse and shotgun after attempting to rape two white women near Lucedale, gifting a chaotic chase ending with his death. Deputies Hinton and another guard fled their post when they fell asleep, allowing the mob to pull him from custody.

Five Men Injured When Street Car Collision Hits Dallas

Five men standing on an inside running board of a Dallas street car were struck by a passing vehicle near Main and Lloyd streets on Sunday. They were knocked to the ground and sustained injuries considered potentially serious. Street car company cars supplied and the wounded were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Stabbing at Seigel's Hotel Ends in Death

Miss Emma Blakeley a waitress at Seigel's hotel was stabbed in the heart and died almost instantly by Alberto Burgos a young Mexican. Jealousy is believed to be the motive. She was to marry a Texas and Pacific railway brakeman on the 28th. Burgos stabbed himself three times and was taken to Abilene amid threats of mob violence.

Russian steamer Var Yagin hits mine with 180 casualties

London dispatch via Lloyds reports the Russian wooden coasting steamer Var Yagin struck a floating mine near Viadivostk on October 20 and sank. Some passengers and crew saved, 180 drowned.
