Ancient St Gwithian site yields oldest English Christian ruins

In a sand grave near Godrevy lighthouse at St Ives bay lie the remains of England's oldest Christian building. The 48 by 12 feet nave was revealed after 1828 sand shifts, showing a priest doorway a small window and stone benches. It was later used as a cowshed.
