Remains of Rev. Sam P. Jones Arrive in Cartersville
The special train bearing the late Rev. Sam P. Jones arrived in Cartersville at 2 PM with about 3,000 people in attendance. City offices and schools were closed as the body was moved to the Jones residence. The remains proceed to Atlanta Friday and will lie in state at the Capitol before interment in Cartersville.
