Explosion on submarine A-5 injures crew. Lieutenant Skinner dies
In Queenstown on February 16 an explosion on the submarine boat A-5 during charging of tarks hurled eleven crew members into the water. Nine were rescued to a hospital, a second blast injured rescuers and caused further casualties. Lieutenant Skinner later died from his injuries and two missing men were found dead aboard the vessel. The total injured reached fifteen with severe mutilation reported among some victims.

Woodmen Circle meets in Durant with fifty delegates
