Sisters Burned in Texarkana Area Tragedy
A Texarkana report says Marguerite Brewer sixteen and Mamie Brewer five daughters of Ethian Brewer were burned to death five miles south of Texarkana. Mamie caught fire from her dress and died within minutes. Marguerite died four hours later after attempting to rescue her sister. Also Georgetown Texas reports James McReynolds seventy found dead from freezing at a wood camp while awaiting admission to the Confederate home at Austin.
