Field Seed Corn Selection Improves Germination Prospects
Selecting seed corn from the field helps identify ears from strong upright stalks with brace roots and numerous blades. By choosing ears low enough to the ground and well formed, farmers can study features in the field and improve drying and germination outcomes as winter progresses.
