Dogs Kill Sheep on Laclede Farm
T T Lamme reports to the Farm Bureau Office that on Thursday night dogs were heard barking near his sheep. A following count found 18 sheep missing, with thirteen or fourteen dead or maimed in the pasture. Many had to be shot, others likely dead. Dogs not yet located. two nearby men also reported sheep killed in recent nights. Dogs are a major menace to the sheep industry and deter purchases.

Mrs Lillie Clark Dies At Work In Rural Missouri
Mrs Lathe Clark of a farm west of the city died after being found unconscious by neighbors Mrs Corey McQuown and Mrs Ross Fuller. Funeral services held at the family home by Rev Smith of Milan with burial at Hoover cemetery beside her husband. Attending relatives named from Kansas City and local families. Also a note that Moberly Eagles color team will play Browning next Sunday, a strong draw.

The Missouri American Legion convention ran September 2 to 5 in Jefferson City drawing over two thousand World War veterans and twenty thousand spectators. Delegates from McDonald-Dugger-Duncan Post led by banded drill marched past, with speakers including Governor Guy B. Park and U.S. Senator Bennett Clark. Election of Department Officers followed committee reports, naming J. Grant Frye as Department Commander and A. C. Cross as finance officer among other posts. Mrs. Louis N.
