Evert Hollon died suddenly Tuesday morning around nine o'clock after a reported heart attack while working at the cane mill with grandson Kenneth Reger. Survived by wife Imogene Peters and several children and grandchildren, funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist Church with Hoover cemetery interment.

Board of Education sold seven school buildings at Browning, averaging 280 each, to buyers including Ernest Lumsden and John Palmer among others. Fifteen toilets averaged 17.85, and eleven coal houses averaged 335-71 each. Total proceeds were 2683.50.
