The writer laments that many made wise resolutions yet few show tangible effort. They question whether preaching equals practice and suggest that if all kept resolutions perfectly the world would be angelic.

The Linn County Farmers Association has arranged a lecture series at Brown ing Linneus Laclede Marceline Bucklin Meadville and Brookfield with J Kelley Wright on Dairying W D McKee on feeding and handling livestock and B Smoot judging corn and livestock His background includes Missouri Agricultural College and a noted stock judging team The program invites all farmers to engage with new agricultural ideas and practices aimed at bringing the institute to the farmer.
