Week of oddities and small-town tales from the family journal

Friday we had a good time driving out for turnips to eat. A woman in a automobile signaled a right turn at a cross road then turned right. Saturday Pa attended a ben knet and enjoyed it, joking about the fork and rig. Sunday Pa learned a statistic about men and wealth, 1 in 100 rich, 4 well to do, 30 independent, 65 supported by kin. Monday Doc Younce and wife planned a trip East until their money was gone and their car needed parts. Tuesday Pa spoke of his ankle and bankruptry, starting at the bottom. Wednesday Pa joked about air planes being referred to as she, a mail plane. Thursday Joe Hix said no male boss in a house after two years of age.
