The McCord Stock Company performed three nights at the city opera house drawing a good sized crowd. The troupe, praised as gentlemanly and entertaining, plans six weeks of city plays this fall and winter. Interested parties may contact C. L. Whaley to secure engagements.

Reports from county correspondents to the Board of Horticulture indicate good prospects for apples cherries pears plums and strawberries across much of Missouri but severe winter damage injures grapes bush fruits and peaches are nearly a total failure with only sparse partial crops in small regions. Overall Bloom and set percentages vary by region from northwest to west Missouri with some areas reaching near full yields while others show significant losses.
W. W. Chenoweth, secretary, cites berry crop percentages with raspberries 60 percent, gooseberries 84 percent, currants 80 percent, and overall berries at 52 percent.
Yeoman Homestead No. 741 mourns the death of brother R. T. L. Curtis. The hall will be draped in mourning for 30 days, and a copy of the resolutions will be published in the Browning Leader-Record. Committee: Mrs. C. A. Fleming, Mrs. W. C. Ingram, D. B. Hunter.

The Rebekah's announce a pie supper at the I O O F hall on Friday night May 31. Members and spouses along with Rebekahs and sweethearts are invited. Each lady should bring a pie. Coffee will be served. Proceeds fund carpet purchase for the hall. An excellent program will be given.
